The most comprehensive law book is the "Pakistan Law Decisions" (PLD), which contains judgments from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the various provincial High Courts, the Service, Professional and Election Tribunals as well as the superior courts of territories such as Azad Kashmir.

Chaudhry Mohammad Ashraf Wahlah is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a member of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).
The judicial branch systematically contains its apex Supreme Court, high courts of four provinces, numbers of district, anti-terrorism, Sharia, and the green courts; all inferior to Supreme Court.
A seven member panel of Supreme Court of Pakistan, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and consisting of Justice Rana Bhagwandas, Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk, Justice Raja Muhammad Fayyaz Ahmad, and Justice Ghulam Rabbani, issued an order that declared the declaration of emergency as illegal and prohibited all judges to take oath on any PCO.
Prior to be elevated as Senior Justice of the Supreme Court, he briefly tenured as the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court from 1998 until refusing take oath in opposition to martial law in 1999.

His father, Waheeduddin Ahmed, rose up to become a respected judge, eventually securing appointments as Chief Justice of Sindh High Court and subsequently appointed as senior justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
