Early in 1625 he became ruler of all West Pomerania on the death of the last Duke of Wolgast, Philipp Julius, and on the 19 February he was married to Elisabeth (24 September 1580 - 21 December 1653), fifth daughter of John II, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg, by his first wife, Elisabeth of Brunswick-Grubenhagen.
For SHIP-0,a sample of 7008 women and men aged 20 to 79 years was drawn in the cities of Greifswald, Stralsund and Anklam and 29 communities in the surrounding region which is part of West Pomerania, a region in the northeast of Germany, adjacent to the Baltic Sea in the north and to the Polish border in the east.
It is the biggest university in West Pomerania, with 33,267 students and a staff of nearly 1,200.
There is also another village called Prillwitz in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Mecklenburg-West Pomerania), on the shores of the Lieps, Germany.
