In Ulysses (Episode 16, "Eumaeus", 663:14-22), Joyce's autobiographical character, Stephen Dedalus, performs Jeep's spirited song "Von der Sirenen Listigkeit" ("Of the Siren's Cunning") for Leopold Bloom, and the two men bond over its misogyny.
In his old age Mentor was a friend of Odysseus who placed Mentor and Odysseus' foster-brother Eumaeus in charge of his son Telemachus, and of Odysseus' palace, when Odysseus left for the Trojan War.
Gornaf (originally created by Josh Pritchard, i.e. the "real world" Jason from Something Positive) is one of the travelers that rents Eumaeus.
