The Battle of Halani was fought in 1782 between the Afsharid tribe Talpurs and the Sindhi tribe Kalhora for the control of the Sindh region, in modern-day Pakistan.
At his death, the leadership of the tribe was contested between two branches of the family, the Kalhora and the Daudpota.

Now Muhammad Shah was crowned as emperor by Nadir Shah himself on 12 May, and Muhammad Shah ceded the area west of river Indus to Nadir Shah, although the Kalhora Nawabs of Sindh continued to fight the invading Afsharids.
Items from various ruling periods of Sindh, including Samma, Soomra, Kalhora and Talpur periods can be found at the museum.
During the Kalhora period (1680-1784 AD) wall paintings became common.
